Project Spotlight
Last Summer we completed a stunning full exterior and interior painting project for a brand-new home in Nashville! The exterior was brought to life with a crisp, timeless Elder White, giving the house a fresh, clean look that complements its modern architecture. Inside, we transformed the space with a warm, inviting Greek Villa as the primary color, creating a serene and elegant atmosphere throughout. Whether it’s the sleek, sophisticated exterior or the soft, welcoming interior, this project perfectly blends style and timeless appeal, making this new home truly shine.
Painting Tips
Choosing the right paint finish can feel tricky with so many options, but we’ve got you covered! For ceilings, a flat or matte finish is your best bet—it helps hide imperfections and gives a smooth, even look. If you want a bit more durability, go for matte. For living rooms and bedrooms, eggshell is perfect—it’s easy to clean, hides imperfections, and adds a soft elegance. In kitchens and bathrooms, semi-gloss is a great choice for its moisture resistance and easy cleanup. High-gloss is the go-to for high-traffic areas like trim or cabinets, though it shows imperfections more easily, so prep is key. Inside Cumberland Painting
Did you know founders Nat Harden and Greg Harvey have been friends since college? Nat starred at Mississippi State for the Bulldogs as a relief pitcher and spot starter. Greg threw a few mop up innings for the Leeds City Royals “B Team” in the Yorkshire League. He later went on to sell beer following graduation at Cleveland Indians games during their magical run to the 1995 World Series.
After college, Nat and Greg worked in professional sports together – one season with the Triple-A Nashville Sounds and many years with the NHL’s Nashville Predators. Together, Nat and Greg have assembled a reliable and dependable team of painters. Not only are Cumberland Painting painters skilled, but they are good, quality people too.
