Exterior Painting Project In East Nashville
Refreshing Faded Exterior Details With Iron Ore
This two-story East Nashville home needed attention after fading paint and areas of wood rot began affecting its exterior appearance. Cumberland Painting completed a detailed exterior painting project covering the trim, garage door, deck, railings, fascia, and soffits.
The Challenge
New Paint Cannot Correct Damaged Wood By Itself
Fading paint can often be improved with cleaning, scraping, and repainting. Wood rot requires more attention. Damaged areas need to be identified and repaired before the new coating is applied.

The Solution
The Exterior Refresh, In Detail
Pressure washing removed surface buildup, loose paint was scraped away, and wood repairs were completed before the finish coats were applied. Windows and surrounding surfaces were protected while the crew worked on the home’s upper-level trim, fascia, and soffits.
The brick itself remained unpainted, while the surrounding trim and architectural details received a darker, more defined finish. Iron Ore gave the home a strong contrast that complements the existing brick.

The Result? Sharper Contrast Against the Brick.
Iron Ore visually connects the fascia, soffits, trim, garage door, deck, and railings, creating a sharper contrast against the home’s brick and vinyl exterior. The project was completed in five days under the direction of crew leader Carlos.
